Everything we carry is sized to be handled without a freight crew: a table two people can place, a lamp you can carry in one hand.

About Fabric Shade
The fabric on a lampshade is not cleaned like the fabric on a cushion, and the difference matters the first time someone tries to clean one. The fabric on a cushion is a heavy cloth over padding, cleaned with moisture and a cleaning code. A shade is a light cloth held to a wire or styrene frame — usually with adhesive — and lit from a few inches away. It is damaged by heat, sunlight and dust, and almost never by use. We list it separately for that reason: cleaning a lampshade the way you would a cushion is the most reliable way to destroy one.
How it ages
Fabric shades yellow slightly and evenly with age, which most rooms read as warmth rather than damage. What ages a shade badly is always local — a top edge scorched by too powerful a bulb, one side faded by the window, a seam opened by an attempt at cleaning. Rotate it occasionally, keep the wattage down, and it simply does not wear out.

- Dust weekly with a soft brush, a lint roller or a hairdryer on its cool setting — dust bonds to the fibre once light has warmed it.
- On a pleated shade, always work along the pleats, never across them.
Wood
- Dust with a dry microfibre cloth, following the grain rather than circling across it.
- Lift spills straight away with a dry cloth — water left standing for even an hour can raise the grain.

Washing a bonded shade
Water dissolves the seam adhesive and lifts the fabric off its styrene liner. The shade opens along the seam and cannot be re-glued invisibly.

Bleach
Strips colour from the timber itself and destroys the finish. The damage cannot be reversed by refinishing alone.

Do I need to be home for delivery?
No. Your order is delivered to your door, or the nearest point the carrier can reach. If you would like it left somewhere particular, you can usually arrange that with the carrier once tracking is available.
How much assembly is required?
It arrives flat-packed and needs assembling. The fixings and the instructions are in the box.

Are the measurements in inches or centimetres?
Both. Every measurement on this page switches between the two, and the Dimensions section shows a scale drawing with each measurement labelled, so you can check a width against your own room rather than reading it off a list.
If a measurement you need is not listed, ask us and we will confirm it before you order.
Will the piece look exactly like the product images?
Close, but not identical. Product images show a representative example of the piece; wood, stone and woven fibres vary naturally, and every screen renders colour a little differently. If you are matching something you already own, ask us through the contact page before ordering.
Is there a warranty?
Warranty coverage varies from piece to piece, so we do not publish a single warranty period. Ask us before you order and we will confirm in writing what applies. If anything arrives damaged or faulty, contact us through the contact page with your order number and photographs — it is handled under our damage policy, and our warranty page explains longer-term coverage.
Can I pay over time?
Yes, with Shop Pay Installments at checkout, subject to an eligibility check. Depending on the price, you can split it into interest-free payments or pay monthly over 3, 6 or 12 months, and rates range from 0–36% APR.
