About Japandi Coffee Tables
Each Japandi coffee table here is made in wood or bamboo, and most leave their construction in view: plank tops, end stretchers, woven cane panels and bent plywood.
Sizing and height
Five of the seven are 47¼ inches wide, which the two-thirds rule pairs with a sofa of about 70 inches; allow 16 to 18 inches of legroom between table and seat. Japandi tables usually sit low, and five here are 15 inches high or less, suited to low, deep sofas and floor cushions. The Sutton Coffee Table is the exception at 17¾ inches, close to a standard seat height, and its pierced black slab legs fold flat so the table can lean against a wall.
For a smaller space, the Ashby Bamboo Coffee Table is 23⅝ inches wide, 14⅝ deep and 11¾ high, in laminated bamboo with circle-cut end panels that fold flat beneath the top. The Avondale Coffee Table, 43¾ by 28 inches and 11 inches high, bends molded plywood into a single loop with no separate legs, and the Easton Coffee Table is walnut, 47¼ by 21⅝ inches, delivered fully assembled.
Wood marks more readily than stone, so wipe spills promptly, use coasters under hot or wet glasses and keep the table out of strong direct sun, which shifts wood color over time. See material care, compare walnut coffee tables, wood coffee tables and small coffee tables, pair a table with Japandi floor and table lamps, or return to the full Japandi collection.
