About Metal
Metal gives a frame its strength and a fine, clean line. Alloys and finishes vary from piece to piece and are named on the product page wherever they are specified. The routine below is the conservative one for coated ferrous metal, which is safe for almost any finished metal component.
How it ages
Depends entirely on the finish. Keep it dry and avoid abrasives and you will not go wrong whatever the alloy.

- Wipe fingerprints from blackened steel promptly, as skin oils mark it.
Solid Wood
- Dust with a dry microfibre cloth, following the grain rather than circling across it.
- Lift spills straight away with a dry cloth — water left standing for even an hour can raise the grain.

They cut through the coating to bare steel, and rust follows within days in normal humidity.

Strips colour from the timber itself and destroys the finish. The damage cannot be reversed by refinishing alone.

Are the measurements in inches or centimetres?
Both. Every measurement on this page switches between the two, and the Dimensions section shows a scale drawing with each measurement labelled, so you can check a width against your own room rather than reading it off a list.

Will the piece look exactly like the product images?
Close, but not identical. Product images show a representative example of the piece; wood, stone and woven fibres vary naturally, and every screen renders colour a little differently. If you are matching something you already own, ask us through the contact page before ordering.
